Today's patch fixes a major bug that would cause the game to freeze after certain moves were used in battle.

Other stuff that is new:

• the first area of the caves has gotten a major upgrade!
  • more ledges keep you from going too far without the torch. a "lifestyle tips" sign reminds you of this
  • water keeps certain items/areas out of reach until later
  • a new enemy and "mini dungeon" segment
• other cave areas have been improved too
• made adjustments to the hotel basement so it's easier to see your character
  • also made some changes to item distribution so you go into the boss with more useful items
• fixed issues where an enemy would kill you twice
• you can no longer buy climbing gloves at the shop

Things to look out for:

• Make sure your save file is not in the part of the cave that links the beach and graveyard. it's likely that you'll load inside a rock or something if you upgrade a save file that is in the caves.
• There are still certain tiles that might crash the game if you step on them. These are incredibly hard for me to catch, so if your game randomly crashes while you're walking around:
  • reload and try stepping on that spot again
  • if it crashes again when you step on that same spot, reload one more time
  • instead of stepping on it, take a screenshot and circle the area that's causing the crash
